DO YOU SUFFER FROM HATE CRIME?

Many of us go through life coping with unwarranted comments, work colleagues taking the mickey out of our sexuality, people on the street shouting comments. Well we don’t have to put up with this kind of behaviour anymore! The new law put in place by Labour clearly states that this kind of behaviour is “Hate Crime” against a minority population and it is unacceptable. People who use this kind of abuse against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people are breaching the law and committing a crime. You don’t have to be part of the LGBT to report this crime, you could be someone who is present when the crime is committed.

The leaflet produced by Barnsley Partnership Against Transphobia and Homophobia (BPATH) gives you the right to complain and fight for your rights to stop “Hate Crime”. If you or anyone you know is experiencing this kind of harassment or see/hear someone committing “Hate Crime” please let us know.
